Holman has spoken with the Queen once in his life (in grade 9, in front of a Science World display on robots in Vancouver when the Queen and Prince Philip were touring), but this Prima Baby spread is probably the closet we’ll ever get to the Royals again.
Unforgettable quip circa 1986: while Holman was talking robots with the Queen, his supervisor demonstrated a model robot for Prince Philip. However, the robot took a few steps and toppled over. Prince Philip said drolly, “So, what does it do when it’s sober?”
